It will test whether Access Dallas South can consistently help selected businesses:

4. Provide acceptable evidence showing what changed

5. Move forward within the approved time, capacity, and budget

The final question is:

Do the results justify renewing, changing, expanding, or stopping the model?

The first cycle will recruit 50 applicants and select a maximum of 25 businesses.

It is being designed for owner-led Southern Dallas County businesses, including:

• Microbusinesses

• Solopreneurs

• Small businesses with lean teams

Selection will depend on:

Each business receives one primary pathway, no more than three required actions, one evidence standard, and one final status.

Conduct business and stakeholder interviews, document regional conditions, identify repeated needs and confirm the businesses, organizations and resources that should participate in the first cycle.

Access Dallas South Live will serve as the first public, in-person activation of the initiative, bringing regional stakeholders together for recorded business conversations, relationship building, founding fundraising and documented next actions.

Recruit, review, select, and prepare the businesses and providers entering the first cycle.

Access Dallas South will recruit 50 applicants and select up to 25 Southern Dallas County businesses. 

Run the 60-day business movement and readiness pilot.

Selected businesses will complete focused readiness work, receive matched support, and submit evidence showing what was completed or improved.

Purpose

Help each participating business address one approved priority during the 60-day business action period.

Completing a pathway does not automatically make a business ready for every referral, contract, funding source, certification, customer, or opportunity. 

The first cycle will use video, digital follow-up, and on-demand resources to extend selected conversations, readiness guidance, business stories, and regional findings beyond live sessions.

Approved material may become part of the growing Access Dallas South digital library so business owners, providers, sponsors, and regional partners can continue using the information after the cycle closes.

The cycle will not be judged by applications, meetings, introductions, or visibility alone.

• Where delivery broke down

• What the work cost

• What should happen next
